SON Estrella Galicia Posidonia is celebrating its 10th anniversary by celebrating the essence of a unique island: its natural environment, its Mediterranean culture, and the people who care for and protect it.

A festival that takes care of the island

From the outset, we set out to create a different kind of festival and promote more mindful tourism. For the third year running, we’re the only festival in Spain to hold True Zero Waste Platinum certification. And we collaborate with initiatives such as Save Posidonia Project to protect the island’s ecosystem.

Stars, sea, underwater worlds, trails, music and nature. During the festival, a range of experiences let you discover Formentera’s wildlife, flora and landscapes, guided by local professionals and experts.

Formentera is part of the festival

We put faith in Formentera’s gastronomy by partnering with restaurants and establishments that represent some of the island’s most distinctive culinary offerings: Hotel Cala Saona, South Beach Club, Gecko Beach House and Hannah Formentera.

Part of the hospitality team, which looks after and takes care of guests throughout the four-day event, works alongside the local company Marewa, specialising in the organisation and coordination of international events and weddings.

The sound and music would not be possible without the professionalism of Sons Formentera, the audiovisual company responsible for meeting the needs of an event spread across multiple locations such as SON Estrella Galicia Posidonia, delivering four days of music across different stages.

We also collaborate with other companies and local social organisations, such as Forn de Can Manolo, Proauto, Trasmapi, Autocares Paya, Insotel Hotel Formentera Playa, Fonda Pepe, Parròquia de Sant Ferran, Atelier de Kentia, and many others.

These and other local names that are an integral part of life on the island, and have now become part of the SON Estrella Galicia Posidonia family, are what give meaning to our presence in Formentera. That is why, because our responsibility goes beyond being a fleeting weekend event, we invite you to join us in our commitment and help us preserve this special bond with an island that has already become part of our shared memory.
