Xosé Luís after being educated in the one-room school of the village of Albá (Lugo), like the vast majority of the young people in the area, he decided to emigrate, choosing the Canary Islands as his destination.
There, he came to appreciate what he had left behind, which led him to return the next year to start his own personal project: Arqueixal. This space offers a totally sustainable rural environment, from the ecological, economic and social points of view.
Arqueixal started production in 1990 and since then it has not stopped growing and expanding its range of home-grown local products and cultural activities and experiences in a unique setting.
